Directing is a natural next step for iconic Kiwi Zoë Bell who felt strongly compelled to direct and write. Having worked closely with directors like Tarantino, Shane Black and Taika Waititi she’s assimilated knowledge from the best.
Bell began her career working as a stuntwoman doubling Lucy Lawless on the NZ cult favourite TV series Xena. Bell then became a stunt double for Uma Thurman in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1 & 2. Bell also stunt doubled for Sharon Stone in Catwoman. With Zoë’s already famous stunt skills, she debuted her acting career with Tarantino’s Death Proof, and quickly followed with Drew Barrymore’s Whip It. She’s worked as a producer and executive producer on genre films since 2013, so she brings a wealth of experience to the table.
