Karla Braun is an award-winning director and creative producer based in Los Angeles. She was raised in Rio de Janeiro, graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BA in Film and began her career at Miramax Films.
Braun has written, art directed, creative produced and directed television promos, key art campaigns, music videos and commercial spots for clients including: NBC, ABC, FOX, Lifetime, History, Cartoon Network, A&E, CNN, ESPN, CNBC, CMT, TBS, Scripps Networks, Universal, Sony Pictures, HBO, Showtime, TV Land, MillerCoors, Fandango, Cisco, Mattel, Activision and Disney.
She produced the short film #twitterkills, starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner Sarah Paulson; it was a festival circuit success followed by a Funny or Die online launch and has won multiple awards to date.
Her creative work has received international recognition, winning a 2013 Key Art award for the Longmire A&E promo and a 2014 Gold Mobius for the Homeland transmedia campaign created for Showtime. Most recently she was awarded PromaxBDA Gold for the ESPN/History co-promotional spot for Vikings.
Braun is also founder and Chief Creative Officer of creative co-op Muse Pictures.
