Haroula Rose is an award-winning director who came to filmmaking via a successful career in music. Rose’s voice and songs can be heard in many commercials, TV series, and films. She has toured worldwide and has worked in post-production at a music house with countless clients. Her most recent release with Thirty Tigers garnered much praise. Currently in post – production on her feature directorial debut ONCE UPON A RIVER, Rose’s passion for authentic storytelling comes through her skills in writing, casting, producing, and powerful cinematography. She has directed music videos, PSA’s, short films, and spans both comedy and drama. Having been a Fulbright Scholar in Madrid, she is also fluent in Spanish and learned Greek before English as a child. Her upcoming project, A DISCOVERY, will be filmed in Greece in 2018. She has been part of Tribeca’s All Access, the Warner Brothers Directors Workshop, Nantucket Screenwriters Colony, and Time Warner’s Project 150.
Her TV pilot LOST & FOUND premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival and went on to win the Audience Award at Bentonville. It was praised by Indiewire, The New York Times, Filmmaker, and Downtown Magazine among others. Her shorts WEDDING DRESS, NO LOVE SONG and BABY CRAZY have also won awards and premiered at the likes of Newport Beach, Cannes Film Festival, Sun Valley and many more. She has produced both documentary and narrative projects such as FRUITVALE STATION, THE FEAR OF 13, HEAVEN ADORES YOU and the upcoming comedy PERMANENT starring Rainn Wilson and Patricia Arquette, to be released with Magnolia in December 2017.
