Fernanda started her career as a graphic art director at advertising agencies like JWT, Borghierh / Lowe, DM9 and Ogilvy. Then she worked as art director for films, short films, video clips and advertising campaigns.
She is currently a film director at Barry Company. Among her work in advertising, the Cepêra campaign by Crispin, Porter + Bogusky, was the winner of the Professional Award of the year 2016.
Her directing work has a major focus on aesthetic language and art.
In cinema, she co-directed the animated short film Edifício Tatuapé Mahal, one of the most awarded in Brazil in 2014, exhibited at more than 200 festivals around the world – among them the prestigious TIFF – Toronto International Film Festival, and winner of more than 15 awards Best picture. In Toronto, Fernanda was nominated by Shane Smith, curator of the festival, as one of the “5 filmmakers to watch of international short cuts.” She is in the process of developing her next short film.
