Cate Stewart moved behind the vision split in 2002, shortly after completing a degree in performance and admitting a mildly promising career as an actor lay ahead.

She got her break as a story-producer & offline editor with world renowned production company @Radical.Media (Sydney). Her first commercial venture was a branded content series for Lion Nathan, Six Degrees of Separation, which resulted in a Bronze Lion at Cannes Advertising Festival, a Silver at One Show Entertainment Awards and Best in Show at IAB Australia Awards.

Her debut short film The Record: World’s Largest Family was selected to screen at academy accredited Flickerfest International Film Festival (2017), Manchester Film Festival (2017), opened at Palm Springs ShortFest 2017 and is currently in negotiations for international distribution. Her other credits include a half-hour comedy pilot The Record, funded by ABC Television and produced by legendary production company Porchlight Films (Animal Kingdom, The Kettering Incident, Laid). The pilot was commissioned on the success of a 3-part web series she directed and produced for ABC iView in 2014.

She was picked up by acclaimed production company Jungle (The Moody’s, No Activity, Review With Myles Barlow) and has since directed numerous commercials for Sydney’s biggest ad agencies. Her commercial ‘Life In The Living Room” for Sony Playstation made the top 6 on BestAds and was shortlisted at the 2017 A-List Awards.
